I am from Magdiwang and we live by the river facing the mountain. I never get tired of looking at it anytime of the day. With illegal logging, a little rain would make the river murky. After it was declared a natural park, it changed. And now this? We will never allow nickel mining in our town. It gives me gooseflesh just thinking of what might happen to our beautiful island. A LOT OF BULL! They think we don't know any better? The Sibuyanons had been better off and has continued to better themselves even before this mining came to fore. We want none of these as we have the best of both worlds: good people and intact environment teeming with exotic fauna and flora, not to mention the countless crystal-clear waterfalls and rivers that run through our sweet homeland. What will money bring you when heavy metals pollute our water systems and floods threatening our families come rainy season? Let us all unite in driving away this two-faced evil before it's too late.
