Parada ng Lechon - a yearly festival falls on 24th of June (Feast of Saint John the Baptist) observed by the locals of Balayan, Batangas. My classmate W, who’s from Balayan always invite us during our college days but it was my second time only to witnessed the festival.

The Church

A lady lechon dressed in gown.

Lechon - a whole piglet or pig cooked on a spit over charcoal.

Newsmen from one TV Station

The parade

My college classmates
My shots were limited due to the water sprays coming from every corner. I covered my camera with two plastic bags to avoid getting wet, specially when we passed by near the Fire Station Department who used bigger hoses.

Along the beach, there are wide varieties of gift shops and boutiques.

d*mall - you can find here several high-end stores including clothing, art and household items. Some places will permit you to haggle, others have a fixed pricing system with price tags.

Waling-Waling Beach Hotel - at station 2, the most expensive resort within the island (US$200+++/night). We just, ate snacks while waiting for the sunset.

*Willy’s Rock - infront of the Waling-Waling Hotel.

*Bobbit House - here, waiter and waitresses were all under height, even the performers/singers.

*Thai Resto - dinner with my friends, ordered “Pad Thai” but not satisfied the way they cooked.

Aside from jet skiing & sunset viewing, we also did island hopping.

*First stop, Crystal Cove - an island with two caves. Among the two, Cave 1 is the best as the boatmen says. I was not able to go down to Cave 2 because of high tide that time and my camera will be in trouble eventhough my backpack camera bag is water proof.

*A view from Cave 1

*Inside Cave 1

*Next stop, snorkling at Crocodile Island…

*School of reef fish.

*Feeding the fish with “ensaymada (bread)”
- shots were taken by using Sony Underwater Camera owned by L&A.
Last stop, I forgot the name of the island. I was a little bit tired that time so I did not took any photos.
We just ate lunch and go back to our place.

At last got a chance to visit Boracay.

At PAL Domestic Airport, waiting for my flight schedule going to Kalibo, Aklan..

At Kalibo going to Caticlan seaport.

Meeting up with my childhood friend from US, L and her husband A and B2 from Australia.
I had a two (2) nights free room at Microtel Inn & Suites (located at station 1) courtesy of L & A while they stayed at Fairways & Bluewater Resort.
After two nights, I looked for another hotel to stay-in for two more nights. I contacted Lorenzo Resorts a resort owned by one of my relatives. Then another resort Acanthus Hotel managed by a friend of mine and classmate of my cousin way back from Romblon. Then, I decided to chose Acanthus Hotel (located at station 3 and a private one) for US$ 100/day (discounted price), with free breakfast. The water in station 3 is clearer than station 1 (where I noticed sea weeds on the surroundings). By the way, Lorenzo Resort is next to Acanthus Hotel.
Acanthus Hotel…

My first visit to Puerto Galera was December 28-31, 2004 together with my two college friends. Last June 05, Mark (a fellow photographer and choirmate) and I went (unplanned) to Puerto Galera for a two-day photoshoot. Early in the morning, we rode a bus from Buendia going to Batangas Pier then boarded a pump boat directly to White Beach.

When I visited my hometown, San Fernando, got no chance to roam around due to rainfall and my time was very limited because of other commitments.

Mt. Guiting-Guiting, Magdiwang, Romblon - shot taken while I was on board a Ro-Ro Ferry going to Batangas Port.
Please visit Milex for more informations about Romblon and how to get there.
Just want to share some of my SHOTS, mostly at the backyard.
I removed some France travel slides due to sluggishness of my site. If you want to view it again, please click THIS. Thanks again.
