contestant # 8
Oh before I forgot, the winner is…… contestant # 8… the crowd really enjoyed when she delivered a monologue as her talent… Someday, you guys will be seeing here my daughter photos ramping on stage also… :P

Please click THIS for more photos of the pageant.

We (together with 3 official photographers) encountered difficulties in shooting our subjects because of low lighting, spot light and the glittering outfits of the contestants. The result is… more over exposed photos. No enhancement done on my shots, cropping only.

To Master, thanks for the help.

November 30, 2007 - again, organized by Saudi Arabia Hiligaynon Inc. (SAHI), the yearly event was a successful one. They invite Nyoy Volante and Blakdyak to be the guest performers from the Phillipines but unfortunately Blakdyak didn’t make it due to the late visa processing. Together with the local performers including us entertain the crowd.

Two weeks ago, our CHOIR sponsored a disco party for a cause. Same venue, same time, just like the previous disco last March 2007 Disco. For five (5) hours our Kababayans and other expats (locals were not allowed) brought home a smile on their face.

I got limited shots because my 28-210mm wide lens fell down when I was trying to change to the other lens. :( After one day I was able to fixed the damage lock of the lens. Thank God it is still working right now.

This is my last watercolor painting for the year 2007 (I made only four paintings for the whole year). A friend requested me to paint any flower (color red) to be displayed on their living room. What I did was, copied a flower shot from my Romblon Gallery - bunch of flowers in our front yard in Romblon. The outcome was not as good as Mari and Ebb Tide’s still life paintings. I forgot the name of this flower. Can you please click Romblon Gallery and tell me this kind of flower? This flower has more than five (5) varieties of colors.

As you can observe on my other works, the subjects are usually abstracts - things that I encountered on my daily life.

new creation

The painting [completed) 3 (three) weeks ago] shows a hand with a whole new world on HIS hand coming out from the blaze…This painting reflects my personal faith to GOD. HE took me out from the dark thoughts and opened my heart through HIS words. HE is truly a merciful and loving GOD.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

Wheeww, due to some commitments this year, this is just my third (3rd) painting for the year 2007. Unlike last year where I made 8 (eight) paintings plus 4 (four) pencil on paper sketches.

Delayed again? My flight coming back here in KSA via Gulf Air was delayed due to some reasons. Passengers got an option, to stay in the hotel (provided by the airlines) or get a P500.00 cash for taxi fare if you’re living within Metro Manila. I chose to get the P500 cash and called my friend M to fetch me up from the airport and go someplace to sip few bottles of beer. By the way, The first time my flight was delayed was last January 2006 via Saudia Airlines . I stayed at the hotel that time.

I was requested by my friend from Nestle Philippines to shoot (free of course :) ) the sports feast they organized for St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) Pediatric Alumni Association. The event was located at The Nestle Creamery in Aurora Boulevard (formerly Magnolia Ice Cream House in the 70’s. Nestle Creamery is home to Nestle Ice Cream which is one of the leading ice cream brands in the Philippines.

Nestle Philippines bought this company from Magnolia Ice Cream which used to be a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation. Magnolia Ice Cream is now back in the market but that is another story. The Nestle Creamery is definitely more than just about ice cream; it also dish up delicious savory meals. The place likewise has an area that can be used for various functions like birthday parties. It is open from 10am-10pm, Mondays to Sundays.
